Diana
Chocolate Establishment (DCE)
is a pioneering chocolate manufacturer in Syria. The chocolatier
Taysir Daaboul, founder and now president, has had a humble
start in a small workshop in 1948 in Damascus Downtown.
He started producing hand-made chocolate classics. In 1954,
he established Zenubia for chocolate production and started
producing under Diana and Zenubia
brands. Zenubia had developed to become a sophisticated
and contemporary company in then standards. He noticed that
Diana brand had become more
popular and favored by customers. So, in 1964, he changed
the company name into Diana
Chocolate Factory. Today Diana
Chocolate Establishment is a leading company in the local
chocolate industry.
